Job Title: Residential Support Worker
Location: Canterbury, Kent
Salary: £28,000 + sleep-in payments
Hours / Shift Pattern: 40 hours per week, various shifts

Role Overview:
We are looking for a Residential Support Worker to provide practical, emotional, and educational support to children with complex emotional and behavioural needs. The role involves safeguarding their welfare, acting as a positive role model, and helping children achieve their potential.
Key Duties:
* Support children’s physical, emotional, behavioural, and educational needs
* Act as a key worker providing 1:1 guidance, advocacy, and support for learning and activities
* Maintain and follow care plans, keeping accurate records
* Promote positive behaviour and social development
* Work collaboratively with colleagues, attending team meetings and contributing to care planning
* Comply with safeguarding, health & safety, and company policies
Requirements:
* Secondary education (Level 3 childcare qualification desirable)
* Clean driving licence
* Experience in residential care or working with children
* Strong communication and relationship-building skills
* Awareness of safeguarding and equal opportunities
* Ability to work under own initiative and as part of a team
* Emotional resilience and understanding of challenging behaviour
