An exciting opportunity for an equine groom apprentice to join the team at Risebridge Livery Ltd on alongside the renowned trainer Jason Webb at Your Horsemanship Ltd.
Duties will include but are not limited to;
* Feeding
* Rugging
* Turning out and catching in
* Mucking out, watering ands haying
* Some handling of broodmares, foals and youngstock
With a turnover of horses per year so there is plenty of opportunity deal with different horses and owners and to learn from and observe top your horsemanship trainers.
Desired Skills & Qualities
* Reliable, hardworking and personable
* Able to carry out physical activity
* High level of experience and competence of handling competition horses
* Willing to take on new handling techniques
Desired qualifications
* None required
* GCSE or equivalent Grade C/4 in maths and English desired but not essential
Future Progression
* There is future employment for the right candidate.
Training
* Full training to be provided by the employer and KEITS at the place of employment.
* The applicant will be working towards a Level 2 Equine Groom Apprenticeship
* The learner will be allocated an industry specific training consultant who will provide both remote and on site visits throughout the apprenticeship.
* The apprentice will work towards an End Point Assessment (EPA) at the end of their apprenticeship.
