Base pay range
Pay: £25,937 per Annum. Based on experience (40 hours per week).
Location and hours
Location: Little Green Rascals Children\'s Day Nursery & Out of School Club, Bishopthorpe, Old School House, Bishopthorpe, North Yorkshire, YO23 2RE
Working hours: Monday to Friday – 38 hours over 4 days, 8am–6pm (one weekday off)
Responsibilities
* Create a warm, fun, and nurturing environment where children feel safe and thrive.
* Plan and deliver engaging, play-based activities aligned with the EYFS framework.
* Build meaningful relationships with children, families, and colleagues.
* Monitor and celebrate children’s development milestones, keeping records to share with parents.
* Support the day-to-day running of the nursery, maintaining high standards of hygiene, safety, and care.
* Be a team player, offering guidance to apprentices and volunteers while learning from others.
What you’ll need to be considered
* Level 3 Early Years qualification or Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
* Evidence of eligibility to work in the UK.
* Ability to work within a team and contribute to a positive nursery environment.
About our nursery
Based in a charming listed former school building opposite Bishopthorpe library, our nursery has four rooms, three gardens, and onsite Forest School. All food is organic and prepared on site. We operate an Out of School and Holiday Club with arts, crafts, and outdoor activities. We also have our own nursery dog, Mabel, who is training to be a Therapy dog for children.
