Children's Support Worker Driver (Woodside) role at Community Integrated Care. ARC HD Services Ltd is part of Community Integrated Care and is a specialist care provider that delivers residential care and 1:1 support for young people aged 9-18 who face significant social, emotional, and mental health difficulties, including ASD, ADHD, PTSD, eating disorders, and trauma-related behavioural challenges. They operate three children’s homes that support up to three young people each, designed to be warm, welcoming, and homely with individualised, child-centred care.
About the Home
Woodside is a calm, homely, and therapeutic bungalow supporting up to three young people aged 11-18. The home focuses on helping children and adolescents facing mental health challenges including ASD, ADHD, PTSD, eating disorders, emotional and behavioural difficulties, and significant childhood trauma. The home offers private bedrooms and bathrooms for each young person, a large communal lounge and dining room, a private back garden, and access to nature.
Role and Responsibilities
* Work 1:1 with a young person during each shift.
* Shifts range from 9 to 15 hours, with flexible breakdowns based on the young person’s needs.
* Sleep-in duties are part of the role.
* Receive specialist training in attachment theories, trauma-informed practice, and other relevant areas.
* Be honest, non-judgemental, proactive, able to build trusting relationships, comfortable using humour, and part of a close-knit team.
* Support children through the good times and the tough times and help them work towards independent living.
Candidate Qualities and Requirements
* Previous experience is desirable but not essential; you will be trained and supported to work with our young people.
* Be passionate about working in this environment to encourage participation in education, provide social and independence learning opportunities, and offer emotional support.
* Full driving license for a manual car and willingness to complete an enhanced DBS check.
