An Architect job is available in Cardiff, offering a design-led role across a diverse project portfolio. This Architect job in Cardiff provides the opportunity to develop both design and delivery skills while working across multiple RIBA Stages within a collaborative team environment.
The successful Architect will support and lead design development, manage project stages, and contribute to technical delivery. You will work closely with senior designers and technical teams to develop concepts into coordinated, deliverable schemes while maintaining design intent throughout.
This Architect job in Cardiff is suited to a qualified Architect with up to five years post-qualification experience, looking to take on increasing responsibility across a range of projects.
Practice & Project Information The practice is an established multidisciplinary design studio with multiple UK offices, delivering projects across a wide range of sectors. Teams integrate architecture, interior design, planning, and landscape to produce coordinated design solutions from concept through to completion.
Projects vary in scale and complexity, offering exposure to different building types and design challenges. The studio maintains a strong design focus, supported by technical delivery expertise and collaborative working across disciplines.
Sustainability, community impact, and responsible design are embedded within project delivery, with teams encouraged to contribute to both creative and technical outcomes. The Cardiff office operates within a wider national network, supporting knowledge sharing and consistent project standards.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop architectural designs from concept through to detailed design across multiple RIBA Stages
* Manage multiple projects simultaneously, balancing design quality, programme, and client expectations
* Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate design information and ensure cohesive delivery
* Prepare drawings, presentations, and technical information to communicate design intent
* Engage with clients throughout project stages, responding to feedback and requirements
* Support project administration, fee management, and delivery performance. Contribute to business development activities including bids and presentations
Required Skills and Experience
* Qualified Architect with RIBA Part 3
* Strong design and presentation skills with the ability to communicate ideas clearly
* Experience managing multiple projects within a UK architectural practice
* Proficiency in Revit and visualisation tools such as
* Enscape Ability to produce and coordinate technical information across project stages
* Strong understanding of UK planning and construction processes
* Confident communication skills with experience working in collaborative teams
* Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, including Photoshop and InDesign, beneficial
