The Opportunity
We are recruiting on behalf of our client for an experienced Managing Quantity Surveyor to take ownership of the commercial function across multiple projects. This is a senior leadership role, ideal for someone looking to step into a strategic position with team management responsibility and long-term career progression.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the commercial management of multiple civil engineering schemes
Oversee cost control, forecasting, and financial reporting
Manage subcontractor procurement, accounts, and negotiations
Review and manage variations, valuations, and final accounts
Lead, mentor, and develop a team of Quantity Surveyors and Assistants
Provide commercial input into project planning and risk management
Ensure compliance with NEC contracts and company procedures
Maintain strong client and stakeholder relationships
Requirements
Proven experience as a Senior or Managing Quantity Surveyor within civil engineering
Strong working knowledge of NEC contracts
Experience managing multiple projects and commercial teams
Excellent negotiation xsngvjr and communication skills
Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or similar (or equivalent experience)
Full UK driving licence
