Our client Bury council is looking for a Children's Advanced Practitioner to join their Family Safeguarding team.
Responsibilities
* Lead on complex safeguarding cases involving children at risk of harm
* Provide expert advice, guidance, and supervision to social workers
* Carry out advanced assessments and develop robust protection plans
* Work under key legislation such as the Children Act 1989 and Children Act 2004
* Chair or contribute to child protection conferences and strategy meetings
* Liaise with multi‑agency partners (police, schools, health services)
* Ensure high‑quality practice and compliance with safeguarding procedures
* Support staff development, mentoring, and practice improvement
