About The Role
We are looking for a committed and experienced Supervising Social Worker to join our Fostering Team within Children’s Services. This is a rewarding opportunity to support foster carers and help provide safe, stable, and nurturing environments for children and young people.
Key Responsibilities
* Support and supervise a caseload of foster carers, including both mainstream and kinship carers
* Build strong, supportive relationships with carers to promote high standards of care
* Undertake regular visits, reviews, and ongoing assessments
* Provide guidance, supervision, and professional development support to foster carers
* Contribute to care planning and multi-agency working to achieve the best outcomes for children
* Travel as required, including to kinship carers living outside the Leicester area
Working Arrangements
* Hybrid working model combining:
* Office base in Leicester City Centre (Halford House)
* Community venues (e.g., Children’s Centres)
* Home-based working
* Attendance at face-to-face meetings approximately once a fortnight (mandatory)
* Regular in-person visits to foster carers
