Self Employed Sales People (Northampton) in the Automotive, Fleet, Plant, and Associated Sales Representative Roles
This role is commission-only, but fuel expenses will be reimbursed.
Genuine earnings (based on current agents) can exceed £55,000 with no upper limit.
Our client, Powerflow, is seeking a business-minded sales representative to open and develop accounts within the automotive trade. The role involves opening and servicing/developing customers, including:
* Independent Garages
* Plant
* Dealerships
* Agricultural Workshops
* Fleets Workshops
* Marinas and other sectors
Powerflow is the distributor of BG Products, manufacturers of world-leading lubricants and automotive chemistry products. These products restore vehicle component performance and extend component lifespan. Notable products include BG44K and BG EPR, which are highly in demand.

The successful sales representative will be expected to:
* Cold call prospects to provide samples or demonstrations
* Revisit clients regularly to deliver products
* Train staff on product use
* Train staff on how to offer products to their customers
* Liaise with fleet and plant personnel at workshop and management levels
The overall goal is to grow the territory and income. The role requires a combination of account opening and management skills.
Some mechanical knowledge is beneficial, but full training will be provided. Previous sales experience is preferred.
Commission is typically 30%, paid on both new and repeat business, allowing earnings to grow with effort. Successful representatives will see their income increase over time.
Key to success are cold calling and product demonstrations, with a demonstration resulting in a sale approximately 2 out of 3 times.
