As a Support Worker with Healey Care Ltd, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the quality of life for individuals with Learning Disabilities. Your primary responsibility will be to provide compassionate and personalised support to clients, ensuring their needs are met and promoting their independence. This position requires a dedicated individual who is not only skilled in care provision but also possesses a genuine passion for helping others.
Duties
* Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal care, meal preparation, and household tasks.
* Develop and implement care plans tailored to each client's specific needs and preferences.
* Provide emotional support and companionship to clients, fostering a positive and encouraging environment.
* Maintain accurate records of client progress and any changes in their condition.
* Communicate effectively with clients, families, and other professionals involved in the care process.
* Drive clients to appointments or social activities as required, ensuring their safety during transport.
* Engage clients in recreational activities that promote social interaction and skill development.
Skills
* Experience working with ADULTS WITH LEARNING DISABILITIES is highly desirable.
* Strong driving skills with a valid driving licence to facilitate client transport. Preferred but not essential
* Background in LD and/or related fields is an advantage.
* Ability to create and follow detailed care plans that cater to individual client needs.
* Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with clients and their families.

The ideal candidate will be strong minded, calm under pressure, proactive, caring and can lead by example. Working within a similar role support adults with complex behaviours is desirable and full training will be given.
We offer plenty of overtime if you want to bump up your monthly wage There's also opportunities to cover at our other homes too building your wage up for the Christmas period.
