Being an Explorers Volunteer at Diglis Island and Fish Pass is a rewarding experience. The role is full of variety, flexibility, and a lot of fun! We inspire children and young people about the River Severn and the creatures that live there, using the river as a tool to build life skills, raise aspirations, and connect children with the great outdoors.
Diglis Explorers are a great team at a fantastic location! You'll have the chance to work together to deliver the programme, and this year we are working on a new offer all about the historic workshops here on the island.
We provide full training and resources for leading groups of children, including training days and team meetings. You will have the support of a Learning & Skills Co-ordinator and fellow volunteers. Travel costs are reimbursed.
