They're seeking an Associate Rural Chartered Surveyor to lead their rural surveying practice in Northamptonshire. Position Overview
This is a senior technical and business development role. You'll be the go-to expert for rural surveying within the office, leading complex estate strategies, managing agricultural tenancies and identifying new opportunities. You'll combine hands-on technical delivery with strategic business development, growing the rural surveying offer across the region. Your work will directly impact how clients maximise their rural assets, whilst contributing to the consultancy's growth strategy and market presence in Northamptonshire.
Responsibilities
* Lead complex rural estate strategies and advise on long-term asset optimisation for landowners and rural businesses
* Manage rural tenancies including Farm Business Tenancies and Agricultural Holdings Act Tenancies
* Generate new business and grow client portfolios through strategic networking and relationship management
* Identify and pursue new opportunities to develop and diversify the rural surveying service offer
* Support and develop team members, providing mentoring and professional guidance
* Ensure all work complies with RICS standards and relevant legislation
* Contribute to the consultancy's growth strategy and business development initiatives
* Represent the consultancy at industry events and build networks with developers, landowners and investors
* Demonstrate strong financial awareness to improve efficiency, productivity and profitability
* Utilise marketing and professional networks, including LinkedIn, to raise the profile of the rural surveying offer
Requirements
* MRICS qualification (essential)
* Strong background in rural professional practice and consultancy
* Proven track record of generating new business and growing client portfolios
* Demonstrated leadership and people development experience
* Commercial awareness with strong financial acumen
* Excellent client relationship management and communication skills
* Exceptional technical capability in rural surveying matters
* Resilient, adaptable and confident operating at senior level
* Strong decision-making and problem-solving abilities
* Active user of professional networks and LinkedIn
* Full UK driving licence
