Responsibilities
As a Senior Engineer in the Communications Team, the successful candidate will:
* Support a resilient, secure and high‑performing network infrastructure that underpins critical operational and corporate services.
* Provide senior technical leadership and oversee day‑to‑day network operations.
* Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external suppliers to ensure reliable network services.
* Drive continuous improvement by enhancing network performance, enabling secure connectivity and integration, and adopting modern networking technologies.
* Mentoring technical staff and maintaining an efficient, secure network environment.
Qualifications
Required:
* Strong technical and organisational skills, confident operating within a complex DDaT environment.
* Excellent communication skills for both technical and non‑technical audiences.
* Hands‑on experience in enterprise network support and security.
* Proactive troubleshooting of complex issues.
Desirable:
* Welsh language skills.
* Experience mentoring technical staff.
