Locum Consultant Haematologist Salary: Negotiable Location: South West Contract Type: Temporary, Full-time Start Date: As soon as possible About the Role We are working in partnership with an NHS service in Salisbury to recruit a Locum Consultant Haematologist to join a well-established and supportive team. This is an excellent opportunity to deliver high-quality haematology care across outpatient, inpatient, and diagnostic services, while supporting service improvement and recovery initiatives. Key Responsibilities Hands-on clinical involvement as a Consultant Haematologist, working closely with other Consultant Haematologists and Associate Specialists and sharing responsibility for all haematology patients. Lab work. MDT Meetings. Oversea and supervise Junior Drs and mentor when required. Transfusion medicine activities including transfusion, team meetings and education sessions for general medical staff. Registration – Essential Full GMC registration with Licence to Practise Entry on the GMC Specialist Register via: CCT (or within 6 months at interview), or CESR (must be on Specialist Register at time of application) Qualifications – Essential Medical degree Relevant postgraduate qualification (MRCP, FRCPath) Desirable MD or equivalent higher degree, or evidence of research in haematology
