As Stove Fitter, you will be given training on installation of varying types of stoves / flue systems and will work alongside an experienced Chimney Engineer. For individuals who show promise, after 5 years of work experience, there is the opportunity to work towards the HETAS H003 / H006 qualifications and further progress within the business to Chimney Engineer.
Duties include:
Repairing and renewing existing chimneys and flues.
Installation of chimney and flue systems.
Chimney sweeps and servicing.
Working alongside the Chimney Engineer to:
Inspect existing chimneys and flues.
Advise customers about potential hazards and faults.
Advise customers on the safe operation and maintenance of chimneys / appliances.
