Role Title: Lecturer in Electronic & Electrical Engineering

Contract Type: Permanent, Part Time (22.2 hours)
Salary: £32,304 - £49,934 Upper pay range points UP2 and UP3 are subject to evidence of previous progression to Upper Pay Spine
Coleg Cambria are excited to be recruiting a Lecturer in Electronic & Electrical Engineering to deliver our Higher Education courses at our Bersham Road site.
In order to be considered for this role, you must have proven experience and competence within Electronic & Electrical Engineering and hold a level 4 as a minimum. We are looking for individuals who can demonstrate empathy and understanding of a range of learning needs as well as resilience, patience and a sense of humour. The successful candidate needs to be able to be flexible to adapt to the varied demands of the position. The successful candidate will be able to develop the delivery and assessment material related to subjects delivered on courses.
As a Lecturer at Coleg Cambria you will be required to deliver both practical and classroom based learning to our students. You will ideally have previous experience of supporting learners with additional learning needs in the classroom or significant relevant personal experience.You will demonstrate the ability to build good working relationships with learners and staff and have the ability to manage groups of learners and have a positive approach to challenging behaviours.
Essential Requirements
1. Qualified to a minimum of Level 4 or equivalent in a professionally relevant subject matter
2. A minimum of a Level 5 teaching qualification (e.g Cert Ed/PGCE) or be working towards a Level 5 teaching qualification.
3. Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
4. Self motivated, well organised and able to work independently using own initiative
5. Awareness of the importance of quality standards within teaching
Welsh language skills are desirable for this position.
