Maintenance Engineer
What You Will Do
As a Maintenance Engineer, you will:
1. Be responsible for the breakdown and repair of manufacturing equipment across both automated and manual production lines.
2. Carry out Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) activities as directed.
3. Ensure all equipment on site is safe and compliant with current Health & Safety legislation.
4. Maintain accurate records of breakdowns, maintenance activities, and spare parts usage.
5. Reorder stock and update inventory records as needed.
How You Will Do It
6. Apply your solid engineering fault-finding and maintenance background to resolve issues efficiently.
7. Read and interpret electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic drawings to diagnose and repair faults.
8. Use your good IT skills to log maintenance activities and manage documentation.
9. Stay calm and focused under pressure, especially in time-critical situations.
10. Work independently with minimal supervision, while also collaborating effectively with others.
11. Operate across a rotating shift pattern: 6am–2pm, 2pm–10pm, and 10pm–6am.
What We Look For
12. Time-served maintenance engineer with an electrical bias (17th/18th Edition qualified).
13. Experience with control systems and automation.
14. Highly self-motivated and capable of planning their own workload to meet business needs.
15. Commitment to maintaining high standards of work and safety.
16. Ability to thrive in a team environment and communicates effectively.
