* Shift Pattern: 8am till 4pm
Key responsibilities
* Greet customers warmly and create a welcoming atmosphere.
* Take orders accurately and efficiently on the counter be able to communicate effectively.
* Serve food and beverages promptly, maintaining a high level of attention to detail.
* Handle customer complaints and resolve issues in a professional and courteous manner.
* Utilise the point-of-sale system to process orders accurately.
* Handle cash, credit card transactions, adhering to cash handling procedures.
* Clean and sanitise tables, counters, and service areas regularly.
* Ensure the café's cleanliness and tidiness by sweeping, mopping, and taking out rubbish.
* Monitor and restock condiments, napkins, cutlery, and other supplies as needed.
* Assist in monitoring inventory levels and report any shortages to the management.
* Work closely with the kitchen staff to ensure timely and accurate food delivery.
* Communicate effectively with team members to ensure smooth operations.
* Be aware of COSHH regulations and use appropriate protective equipment when using chemicals.
* Assist team members when needed, such as running food or drinks to tables during busy periods.
* Maintain a positive work environment by fostering teamwork and cooperation.
* Adhere to food safety and hygiene regulations to maintain a safe environment.
* Follow proper hand hygiene procedures and maintain personal cleanliness.
* Ensure the café is compliant with health and safety standards at all times.
* Support the kitchen teams in small preparation works with vegetable and potato and salads.
Skills required
* Previous experience in a similar customer service role, preferably in a café or restaurant setting.
* Excellent communication, interpersonal skills and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
* Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask.
* Friendly and approachable demeanour, with a genuine desire to provide exceptional customer service.
* Ability to work well under pressure and handle customer complaints effectively.
* Be aware of COSHH regulations and use appropriate protective equipment when using chemicals.
* Adhering to dress code policies.
* Assist team members when needed, such as running food or drinks to tables during busy periods.
