Purpose and Objectives:
To assist the Director in ensuring that business plan objectives are delivered and wherever possible,
exceeded. Take the lead on the delivery of strategic asset management and data projects, commissioned by
clients. This may involve time limited placements with Clients, which may require attendance at
Client offices. Take the lead on business development & networking, sales and marketing, product development / the design of projects, analysis and corporate work. Assist the Director in ensuring that team utilisation, team performance and day rates are optimised. As and when requested, deputise for the Director at external & internal meetings, conferences,
seminars, etc.

• Assist the work stream Director in establishing strategic direction for the Assets work stream
• Assist the team Director in establishing and reviewing resource requirements
• Assist the Director in ensuring sufficient team utilisation and performance
• Monitor, review and analyse work stream income and cashflow
• Ensuring company policy is always adhered to
• Ensuring company values are exhibited throughout the Assets workstream
• Line Management of workstream members
Sales and Marketing
• Working with the work-stream Director and the marketing team to establish and review marketing strategies & plans
• Assist in the production of marketing material
Securing new work and creating opportunities
• Produce industry and work stream related articles, ‘Thought Leadership’, research and ‘insight’ material
• Establish new relationships and maintain existing relationships through proactive engagement and networking
• Attend conferences and seminars on behalf of the business
• Present at conferences, seminars and panel discussions on behalf of the business
• Establish ways for accessing new opportunities (Frameworks, DPS’ etc.)
• Produce proposals and submit tender applications
• Lead on pitches
Project delivery As Assistant Director there will be a responsibility for providing consultancy work for our
clients, meeting agreed targets for the delivery of consultancy work, as well as working as part of a team to deliver consistently high-quality work.
Some of the specific activities you will deliver as Assistant Director on client projects includes:
• Acting as the main point of contact for clients and lead on the management and delivery of placements / projects for clients
• Managing a team of staff working on placements / projects (providing feedback on performance to Managers at the end of a project where relevant)
• Being responsible for the quality, progress and outputs of projects
• Leading on the delivery of placements / projects for clients including those that are larger or more complex in nature.
• Conducting stakeholder engagement (e.g. conducting interviews, facilitating workshops and presenting to clients)
• Overseeing the collection, analysis and presentation of research / project data (e.g. from data sets, surveys, interviews, workshops, desk-top research) including options development and appraisal.
• Being involved in areas such as; problem identification and solving, policy development, critique of information and documentation
• Leading on the developing and writing of key reports for clients
• Leading on the delivery of presentations to a range of audiences such as executives, staff, boards and other stakeholders.
• Supporting and assisting other Altair business streams where required/possible, in support of cross-organisational working.
Product development
Working with the work-stream Director, look to opportunities to develop the ways in what we can provide to clients and the way in which we operate and provide services to our clients.
This includes areas such as;
