About the Role
We are seeking a talented Java Developer with experience in Equities Finance, ideally within the Securities Lending domain. In this role, you will:
1. Design, develop, and maintain Java-based applications that support our securities lending business.
2. Collaborate closely with traders, operations, and other technology teams to deliver innovative solutions.
3. Participate actively in all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), from requirements gathering and design to implementation, testing, and deployment.
4. Work as part of an Agile team, contributing to sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and continuous delivery.
5. Ensure the accuracy, reliability, and performance of systems critical to our trading and settlement operations.
6. Integrate and manage real-time data streams using Apache Kafka for scalable, event-driven architectures.
What We’re Looking For
7. Strong Java programming skills, with experience in multi-threaded and high-performance applications.
8. Hands-on experience with Apache Kafka for building distributed, real-time data pipelines.
9. Familiarity with Spring Boot or similar frameworks, and experience with relational databases (., Oracle, SQL Server).
10. Hands-on experience with the full SDLC and Agile methodologies.
11. Proven ability to work effectively in a team, communicating complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
12. A proactive approach to problem-solving and a passion for continuous improvement.
13. Collaborate with stakeholders to deliver solutions that drive business success.
Preferred Knowledge
14. Understanding of the Equities Finance business, especially securities lending workflows and trade lifecycle.
15. Experience with financial products, trading systems, or post-trade processes.
16. UI development experience in React JS
17. Experience with cloud deployment, design and development
