Key Responsibilities of the Senior IT Support Technician:
As a field-based Senior IT Support Technician, youll be the go-to expert for multiple clients, tackling everything from day-to-day support to infrastructure installations. Youll work across a range of technologies, helping maintain and grow reliable, modern IT environments.
What Youll Bring:
Strong experience in Windows Server, Active Directory, Group Policy, and networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs)
Proficiency in virtualisation technologies (VMWare or Hyper-V)
Solid troubleshooting skills and a methodical approach to problem-solving
Great communication skills and a customer-first mindset
Good understanding of backup practices and device imaging
Ideally 23 years in a technical IT role preferably with experience in educational environments
Bonus Skills (Desirable, Not Essential):
Experience with wireless networks (Unifi, Aruba, Meraki)
Familiarity with MDM tools (Jamf, Meraki, Lightspeed)
Knowledge of Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, Azure, or Intune
Hands-on with AV installations and 3CX phone systems
