HLTA / PPA Cover Teacher Opportunity | Rochester, Kent | £100-£130 per day | Long-Term Contract | September 2025
About the Role
Supply Desk are delighted to offer an exciting opportunity for a dedicated and adaptable educator to join our partnered two-form entry primary school in Rochester, Kent. This long-term contract provides the chance to make a meaningful impact within a supportive school environment, covering PPA sessions and leading classes across various key stages until at least December 2025.
Responsibilities
* PPA Cover: Deliver engaging, pre-planned lessons across EYFS, KS1, and KS2.
* Classroom Management: Use effective behaviour strategies to maintain a focused and positive learning atmosphere.
* SEND Support: Work with small groups of students with additional needs, ensuring they receive tailored support.
* Intervention Delivery: Plan and lead targeted interventions to support pupil progress.
* Collaboration: Work closely with teaching staff to track student progress and uphold high standards of behaviour and engagement.
* Parental Engagement: Foster positive relationships with parents and provide updates on student development.
What We're Looking For
* Qualified HLTA or Primary Teacher: The ideal candidate will have HLTA status or extensive experience of leading classes as a HLTA across the primary key stages.
* Adaptability: Ability to teach across different year groups and adapt to the needs of various classrooms.
* SEND Experience: Experience supporting children with special educational needs is highly desirable.
* Strong Behaviour Management: Confidence in managing classroom behaviour effectively.
* Resilient & Enthusiastic: A proactive, warm, and inclusive approach to teaching and learning.
* DBS & References: A valid, in-date DBS and two references are required.
