Panic Transport is seeking a Transport Planner to join their team at their Rugby site. The role involves planning and executing collection and delivery schedules efficiently, aligning with business objectives, customer service standards, and legislative requirements.

Job Responsibilities
1. Utilize all IT systems, TMS, and customer portals for efficient fleet and staff deployment.
2. Allocate vehicles, drivers, trailers, and manage customer deliveries and backloads accurately.
3. Coordinate with the Workshop to ensure vehicle availability and support service scheduling, alerting the team to any risks.
4. Share plans with the transport team to optimize efficiency and customer service.
5. Manage staffing levels, including agency staff, to meet daily operational requirements.
6. Communicate with customers to understand and support their scheduling needs, including effective handovers for operational delays.
7. Plan operational deliveries for the following day, including providing rates, quotes, and processing bookings.
8. Participate in cross-training to provide effective cover and support team flexibility.
9. Identify and implement continuous improvements to enhance operational efficiency.
10. Maintain high standards of housekeeping and safety, complying with health and safety regulations.
Knowledge and Experience Required
* Understanding of the Highway Code, EU tachograph requirements, Working Time Regulations, and Road Transport Regulations.
* Experience with transport operation systems.
* Geographical knowledge relevant to the transport routes.
* Knowledge of Health and Safety regulations.
* Relevant experience in transport and planning roles.
* Ability to analyze and solve logistics problems.
* Ability to demonstrate and apply company values throughout the role.
