We're currently recruiting a dedicated Driver to help ensure the smooth running of operations at Chartwells on a part-time basis, contracted for 20 hours per week.

Shift patterns will vary, and please note: this role is contracted for 43 weeks per year.

Your key responsibilities will include:
1. Participating effectively in a team of drivers supplying services to local health service premises.
2. Observing all regulations governing vehicle use on public roads and being aware of employee responsibilities under Health & Safety legislation.
3. Undertaking daily vehicle checks to ensure compliance with legal requirements and reporting any defects or accidents immediately.
4. Maintaining the cleanliness of the vehicle's interior and exterior at all times.
5. Respecting confidentiality regarding Trust and patient information.
6. Handling mail, specimens, blood, pharmacy items, food, CSSD, and other deliveries accurately and promptly.
7. Communicating compassionately with terminally ill, disabled, and bereaved individuals in their homes.
8. Delivering, installing, and demonstrating the use of delicate equipment, including bath hoists and medical devices.
9. Working according to set schedules, prioritizing urgent requests for blood, drugs, medical records, and other items.
10. Representing and promoting the professional image of the Trust to service users and the public.
Our ideal Driver will:
* Hold a clean CPC license with the 101 restriction removed.
* Possess a full, clean UK driving license (provisional licenses are not accepted).
* Be passionate about customer care and communicate effectively with patients, visitors, and healthcare staff.
* Be able to work under pressure, both independently and as part of a team, with a flexible approach.
* Be confident working in a hospital environment and sensitive to patients' needs.
* Have a positive attitude, willingness to learn, and dedication to customer service.
