An opportunity has now arisen for an Aluminium Workshop Fabricator to join our Team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the manufacture of high-quality aluminium products and components. Main Duties/Activities: Fabrication of: Doors and Window Production Glazing Aluminium fabrication Curtain walling production Understand specifications of the task at hand and the desired result by reading drawings etc. Supervise the machines while they execute the tasks and make any necessary adjustments to produce a better result Inspect and measure finished products using specific measuring equipment and compare them with requirements to determine if the process has been completed properly. Perform preventative maintenance checks on the machines. Finish parts keeping within quality requirements using hand tools to sand/smooth part edges. Complete paperwork such as process sheets, NCRS, job cards Adhere to all relevant environmental and health & safety regulations and procedures with particular attention to safe systems of work within the workshop including PPE standards. Check and maintain machinery daily to ensure functionality If necessary be prepared to work in other departments with the workshop as requested by the senior management team Ensure your area of the workshop is always maintained in a clean and tidy state. Be aware of quality issues (beyond normal tolerances) within the processes in your area of the workshop and implement procedures and actions to reduce any non-conformances to a minimum. Expected to work in both glass and aluminium if required. Compliance with all company policies and procedures Other duties commensurate with the job title as directed by Management. Other Information: You will be expected to participate in education, training or development as is necessary, to enable the company to achieve the companys objectives as communicated to you.
