Elevation Recruitment Group are recruiting for an Operations Director on behalf of a confidential client in South Yorkshire. This is a senior leadership role with full site responsibility within a highly successful and fast growing manufacturing business.
The Operations Director role will suit someone who has experience in regulated manufacturing environments such as medical, aerospace, defence or oil and gas, ideally with exposure to metals forming or similar processes.

The business
The business is a well established manufacturer with strong revenues and a clear growth trajectory. It operates within a structured group environment and continues to invest in both its people and operations.
The South Yorkshire site employs around 160 people and requires a visible, hands on Operations Director who can bring structure, pace and accountability while building on an already successful platform.
The role
The Operations Director will take responsibility for the site, leading both strategy and execution.
Key areas include:
* Responsibility for site P and L performance, working closely with the wider group
* Leading and developing a senior management team across operations, supply chain and support functions
* Creating and maintaining a safety first culture aligned to regulatory and internal standards
* Improving operational efficiency through better planning, capacity management and process control
* Strengthening customer and supplier relationships, including managing complex or challenging situations
* Supporting group objectives through delivery of sustainable and profitable growth
The person
We are looking for an Operations Director with the capability to lead in a regulated manufacturing environment. We are open to both established leaders and those stepping into their first site leadership role. You will bring:
* Experience in a senior manufacturing leadership role such as Operations Manager, Head of Manufacturing or Operations Director
* Background in highly regulated sectors such as medical, aerospace, defence or oil and gas
* Experience within metals forming or similar manufacturing processes would be advantageous
* Strong commercial awareness with exposure to budgets and P and L performance
* A track record of improving performance, processes and team engagement
* The presence and credibility to lead from the front and influence across the business
