Your Role As a Project Engineering Lead (PEL), you will be responsible for the planning, cost, quality and on time delivery of assigned work packages within the wider programme. Acting on behalf of the Programme Chief Engineer (PCE), you will coordinate with multiple functions across Safran Landing Systems to ensure major milestones are met. Candidate skills & requirements Key responsibilities include: - Developing and maturing Safran Landing Systems products - Identifying and validating requirements to mature products, including planning and coordinating any required testing through to full scale testing - Building strong partnerships with technical experts across Safran - Establishing appropriate methodologies to support certification of products - Working with functional experts to ensure project objectives are achieved - Collaborating with Engineering Group Leaders (EGLs) to ensure resource allocation is clear and aligned to delivery needs - Supporting the Deputy Programme Chief Engineer (DPCE) to define objectives, milestones, work breakdown structures, schedules and costs - Ensuring all activities follow Safran Landing Systems project management processes and procedures - Liaising with internal and external stakeholders-including suppliers-to ensure progress, provide updates, and support the PCE/DPCE through reporting and presentations What You'll Bring Essential - Degree level qualification (or equivalent experience) in an engineering discipline - Previous experience in project management within an engineering or technical environment - Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders and present confidently Desirable - Good knowledge of landing gear structures, equipment, or similar aerospace/aerostructures products - Understanding of design processes, materials, and coatings used in the aerospace industry - Experience delivering engineering work packages or technical projects - Excellent people management capability and ability to collaborate across functions - Strong teamwork ethic with the ability to build positive working relationships - Ability to produce clear technical reports and deliver confident presentations - Results driven mindset with a desire to achieve challenging targets - Familiarity with Technology Readiness Levels (TRLs) - Strong problem solving ability and attention to detail - Clear verbal and written communication skills - Demonstrates drive, ownership, and a proactive approach to delivery Position location Job location Europe, UK, England, South West City (-ies) Gloucester
