Overview
Pay: £37,500.00 - £40,000.00 per year. Location: Hybrid (office and home working) Weston Super Mare. Hours: Monday to Friday 9 – 5. We are recruiting for registered Nurses (RGN, RMN, RNLD), Physiotherapists and Occupational Therapists (OTs) in Weston Super Mare who want to use and build upon their clinical skills and benefit from a strong work‑life balance and professional development as a PIP or WCA Functional Assessor. The role is full time and offers a salary of £37,500 (PIP) - £40,000 (WCA) per annum plus a bonus scheme and benefits.
Responsibilities
* Undertake a combination of file-work, face-to-face and telephone/video assessments with customers in relation to PIP or ESA benefits.
* Provide comprehensive reports to enable decision makers at DWP to make informed decisions regarding benefit claims.
* Assess how a disability affects a customer’s day-to-day life and performing work-related activities.
Requirements
* One year's post-registration experience as a nurse, occupational therapist or physiotherapist.
* Fully registered with a relevant UK regulatory body (NMC, HCPC or other), without restriction or conditions, and with a valid PIN.
* Excellent observational and communication skills, with the ability to listen, empathise and dig deeper.
* The ability to type at a minimum of 30 words per minute.
