We’re partnering with a highly respected, fast-evolving manufacturing business to appoint a Head of Operations—a pivotal leadership role with full responsibility for driving performance, efficiency, and cultural excellence across the operation. This is a site-based role with a reputable family owned business based on the Norfolk/Cambridgeshire border.

The Opportunity
As Head of Operations, you will take ownership of the entire operational lifecycle—from initial estimation through to final delivery on-site. You’ll lead multiple functions including Production, Supply Chain, Project Management, Logistics, and Warehousing, ensuring seamless coordination and exceptional output.
With a strong organisational focus on “Right First Time”, you’ll play a critical role in embedding quality, accountability, and efficiency at every stage.
Key Responsibilities
1. Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement operational strategies that enhance productivity, efficiency, and profitability
2. End-to-End Oversight: Ensure smooth execution across all production and delivery processes
3. Team Development: Lead, coach, and inspire a high-performing, multi-disciplinary operations team
4. Performance & KPIs: Establish and monitor metrics to drive continuous improvement and operational excellence
5. Resource Optimisation: Maximise utilisation of people, materials, and equipment while reducing costs
6. Health & Safety: Champion a safe, compliant, and high-standard working environment
7. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with commercial, finance, and project teams to align operations with business goals
8. Customer Engagement: Support client interactions, ensuring delivery meets expectations and strengthens relationships
9. Executive Contribution: Play a key role within the senior leadership team, contributing to strategic decisions and board reporting
Applications are welcomed from individuals with the following skills and experience:
10. Proven experience in a senior operations leadership role within manufacturing/Construction/Engineering or similar (Candidates from solely a Food Manufacturing background will not be considered)
11. Engineering qualifications would be advantageous
12. Strong track record of driving performance, efficiency, and cultural change
13. Deep understanding of production processes, quality control, and supply chain operations
14. Exceptional leadership and people development skills
15. Analytical mindset with the ability to translate data into action
16. Confident communicator, capable of influencing at all levels
