Salary and Benefits
Salary: £39,680 - £40,720 OTE £47,280 - £48,320
Salary inclusive of: Sleep Ins - £30 & On Call shifts - £60

Rota and Working Hours
Rota expectation: 40 hours per week, 6 sleep ins and 3-4 on call shifts (depending on the needs of the Home)
Qualifications and Experience
* 12 months in a Deputy role
* QCF Level 3 minimum
* Willingness to complete QCF Level 5
White Trees group is owned and operated by SureCare Residential Ltd. Our role is to provide a home for vulnerable and complex young people in residential care. We focus on safety, development, and brighter futures for the young people in our care.
Main Purpose of the Job
To support on the rota and shift cover, mentoring senior staff and TPWs to ensure daily operational systems within the home are effective and meet the needs of the young people and the home.
To be responsible for effective day-to-day running of the home in the absence of the Home Manager, including leadership of staff, work allocations, and direct work with children when necessary.
To be responsible for all aspects of the residential premises.
Key Duties
* Support the Registered Homes Manager in ensuring compliance with company Policy and Procedures and meeting OFSTED regulations.
* Deputise/act up for the Registered Manager in their absence.
* Ensure that the young people\'s needs are recognised and met.
* Support the manager and team to ensure smooth discharge/transition when a young person leaves the home.
* Oversee development, monitoring and implementation of individual care plans and case records.
* Ensure young people know their rights and responsibilities and can express their wishes and feelings.
* Plan, manage and lead shifts to keep children safe and engaged throughout the day.
Practical Duties
* Ensure all policies, procedures, and risk assessments are followed at all times.
* Ensure incident/accident forms and restraint forms are completed as applicable and reported to the Registered Manager within the agreed timescales.
* Ensure staff are familiar with Local Authority Safeguarding, and SureCare Safeguarding & Child Protection Procedures.
Managerial Duties
* Demonstrate effective leadership to deliver person-centred childcare and pursue the best outcomes for each young person.
* Maintain knowledge of Children\'s Homes Regulations 2015, The Quality Care Standards and SCCIF; implement recommendations after Ofsted inspections.
* Notify Local Authority Social Workers of significant events within 24 hours.
* Ensure the home is fit for purpose by meeting Fire, Health & Safety Regulations and addressing Quality Assurance/ Regulation 44 action points promptly.
* Support the Manager in staff performance and development through regular supervision and annual appraisal.
Training
* Participate in Monthly Supervisions from the Senior Leadership Team and Wellbeing Service for CPD.
* Complete NFPS Physical Intervention and Behaviour Management Training; physical intervention may be used as a last resort to keep people safe.
* Attend trainings booked for you; access to Level 5 through internal promotions.
* DSL-Level 3 Safeguarding training for designated leads.
