Description
Manage and coordinate daily distribution operations to ensure timely and efficient processes.
Achieve kpi performance and productivity standards for warehouse/distribution activities through proactive management of shift resources.
Supervise, coach, develop and lead a team
Monitor and maintain compliance with health, safety, and operational standards.
Oversee inventory management and ensure proper documentation of all activities.
Collaborate with other departments to optimise workflow and communication.
Identify areas for improvement and implement solutions to enhance efficiency.
Provide regular reports and updates to senior management on operational performance.
Ensure the smooth running of operations during assigned shifts in Glasgow.
Participate and lead in CI projects including implementation of new WHM system
Profile
A successful Shift Manager should have:
Experience in distribution, warehouse and/or logistics.
Strong leadership skills to effectively manage and motivate a team.
Excellent organisational and problem-solving abilities.
Knowledge of health and safety regulations in the logistics sector.
Proficiency in using relevant systems and software for Warehouse Management/Inventory and operations management
Effective communication skills to liaise with various stakeholders.
Capability to adapt to a fast-paced environment and make informed decisions.
