Manufacturing / Production Technician (Magnesium) Luxfer MEL Technologies is a global leader in the development, manufacture and supply of Magnesium and Zirconium based products and services to technology industries worldwide. We have approximately 300 employees across the UK & US. The Role – Manufacturing / Production Technician (Rolling Mills) Target focused, must hit output quota Operating process equipment and machinery, including semi and fully automated machinery Monitoring processes and recording parameters for production records, log sheets and SAP transactions Communicating current status to other operators and departments Performing in house tests/analysis to ensure product is produced in line with specifications Packing of finished goods into drums, bags, onto pallets or other forms of container for transportation What you’ll need to be considered for this Manufacturing Technician role: Experience working in an industrial or manufacturing environment 5x GCSE’s (Incl. Eng, Maths & science) – A-C Ability to use own initiative, prioritise tasks, and work under pressure Safety conscious and have a high level of attention to detail Professional approach to work and a team player The Package – Manufacturing / Production Technician As Manufacturing Technician, you will benefit from: Salary £25,750 - 26,885 pa depending on shift pattern Have the potential to earn an annual bonus 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays Company pension Opportunity to participate in the company share option scheme Onsite canteen Free on-site parking You’ll be employed on a fixed term contract, predominantly working either a days pattern, or a shift pattern of 6am to 1:50pm / 1:30pm to 9:20pm / 8:45pm to 6am with an early finish on Fridays. Flexibility will be required due to the nature of the role. You’ll be working from our head office in Swinton, Greater Manchester.
