Naval Architect Operator London
Hybrid: 12 days per month to work remotely + 1 day carry over to next month. As such typically around 60% of time working remotely is available for individuals who wish to take advantage of this.
Projects: Oil&Gas/ Energy Transition/ Carbon Capture / Onshore / Offshore / Hydrogen / Renewables
* ResponsibilitiesConcept selection and design of floating structures across project phases (Basic, FEED, Detailed Design, Execution).
* Prepare key engineering documents for EPCI ITT packages (e.g. Floater Functional Specs, Design Briefs, Scopes of Work).
* Review tender documents, participate in clarification meetings, and perform technical evaluations.
* Conduct hull structural, hydrodynamic (RAOs, QTFs), mooring, and stability analyses.
* Collaborate with internal disciplines (structures, pipelines, process, mechanical, CAD) to ensure integrated design.
* Serve as Technical Coordinator for naval aspects, interfacing with contractors and ensuring design compliance.
* Attend coordination and technical meetings, and maintain awareness of HSEQ policies and relevant design standards.
* ExperienceBackground in offshore Oil & Gas,
* Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office and AutoCAD
* Working knowledge of Seakeeping and CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics) analysis
* Good understanding of Class requirements and key regulatory frameworks including IMO, SOLAS and MARPOL
