For a confidential chat, reach out todanny.colbert@arrowxl.co.uk— or apply today!What will the role involve?Ensuring optimal routing of vehicles to meet customer requirements, legal compliance and organisational KPI'sA fast-paced Transport Planning role - where you will be planning national routes consisting of trunking and final mileWorking with freight forwarders and individual hauliers to ensure cost effective stock movements are resourcedWork closely with warehouse, commercial, transport and customer service teamsPlanning, inter-depot movements, collections and ordersUpdating transport systems accurately and in real time as and when changes occurResponding to internal enquiries regarding route capacity to ensure customer requirements are fulfilled to the highest possible standardsWorking on cost reduction and service improvement strategiesWhat are we looking for?Experience working with a transport planning systemExperience working in general haulage and with freight forwardersStrong organisational and problem-solving skillsCommercial acumenWorking knowledge of legal compliance regarding transport (working hours etc.)Good geographical knowledgeAble to work under pressure and prioritise activityGood communication skillsSelf-starter who is always looking for ways to improve the way we do thingsAbility to cope with rapid pace of changeCan be relied upon to deliver to tight deadlinesStrong Excel skillsWhat's in it for you?
