Job Summary

The External Communications & Content Manager plays a key role in shaping how the company is seen, heard, and understood across its core markets. Working closely with the Head of Communications & Brand, the role develops compelling narratives and high‑impact communications that bring the company’s purpose, ambition, and expertise to life. The position is strategic and hands‑on, focusing on media engagement, reputation management, and executive positioning within the renewable energy sector.


Role and Responsibilities

* Develop and deliver external communications and content strategies aligned to business and brand objectives.
* Shape compelling narratives and thought leadership that strengthen the company’s reputation.
* Lead proactive media engagement across core markets, building relationships with journalists.
* Manage and coordinate multi‑channel external content, including website, social media, and speaking opportunities.
* Translate complex technical, regulatory, and industry topics into clear, engaging communications.
* Manage sensitive communications through messaging, issue responses, and stakeholder coordination.
* Prepare senior leaders and subject matter experts for external engagement through training, briefings, and messaging support.
* Manage communications agencies, coordinating activity across markets to ensure consistency and quality.
* Monitor media coverage, industry trends, and audience insight to strengthen communications effectiveness.
* Collaborate closely with Brand Manager, Internal Communications Manager, and Events Manager for a holistic approach.


Skills & Experience

* Proven experience in corporate communications, media relations, or public relations, ideally within regulated or infrastructure sectors.
* Strong experience developing and delivering multi‑channel content and thought leadership strategies.
* Demonstrated success in proactive media relations across multiple markets.
* Ability to shape clear, credible narratives for an external audience.
* Experience supporting senior leaders with media engagement and public‑facing communications.
* Strong judgement in managing sensitive issues and incidents.
* Experience managing agencies, including briefing, coordination, and performance management.
* Comfortable operating across international and cross‑cultural environments.
* Native‑level English with exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
* Data‑driven mindset with experience monitoring, reporting, and evaluating communications performance.
* Preferred: experience in renewable energy, energy transition, or sustainability‑driven industries.
* Preferred: experience across Nadara’s core markets (UK, Italy, Spain, Portugal, France, USA) and knowledge of additional European languages.
