Main duties of the job
As a PEF, you’ll play a strategic and operational role in designing, delivering, and evaluating high-quality, multi-professional education and training.
You’ll coordinate competency sign‑off, support HCPC and IBMS portfolio development, and lead CPD initiatives.
You’ll work collaboratively across LCL to ensure consistency, innovation, and excellence in training delivery—empowering staff to grow with confidence and clarity.

What We’re Looking For
HCPC Registered Biomedical Scientists that have extensive experience, ideally to Specialist level.
We are looking for Specialist knowledge in Cellular Pathology and Blood Sciences
Proven track record in delivering education and training.
Strong understanding of educational frameworks and quality assurance.
Excellent communication, leadership, and project management skills.
Passion for innovation, collaboration, and empowering others.

Key Responsibilities: Education & Training
* Develop and deliver structured training programmes, including Health & Safety.
* Support competency-based training frameworks.
* Coordinate student placements and mentorship.
* Create teaching materials and assessment tools.
* Promote digital and blended learning.
* Design preceptorship programmes for newly registered Biomedical Scientists.
* Develop career pathways and support CPD activities.
Quality Assurance & Governance
* Lead training audits and monitor compliance.
* Maintain training records and data systems.
* Contribute to service improvement and policy development.
* Use data to inform workforce planning and training needs.
Collaboration & Communication
* Build relationships across LCL and external partners.
* Champion inter-professional learning and NHS scientific careers.
* Provide updates and reports to leadership.
Professional Development
* Support staff in identifying learning needs.
* Facilitate CPD and mentor development.
* Maintain own HCPC registration and professional growth.
