Your key responsibilities
Typical activities include:
* Manage client relationships and expectations, developing client portfolios.
* Gather feedback on the quality of work delivered and suggest improvements.
* Effectively manage audit teams, coaching and developing team members.
* Participate in staff recruitment.
* Plan and manage your own performance and development.
* Develop technical expertise in functional and industry areas.
* Plan and manage assignments to ensure technical compliance, including final reviews and raising issues with partners.
* Review and approve financial statements and reports for clients.
* Ensure management letters are constructive and demonstrate the firm's interest in the client’s business.
* Consult with experts on complex issues.
Handle various assignments concurrently, including:
* Pre-Audit / Other Projects: Preparation of proposals, budgets, negotiations.
* Audit Field Work: Monitor progress, allocate work, review work papers, report to partners.
* Post-Audit: Fee recovery, variance analysis, billing, closing meetings, final accounts, and reports.
To qualify for the role you must have
* Proven track record of outstanding performance.
* Experience with large/multinational clients.
* Commitment to continuous personal and professional development.
* Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CPA).
* Minimum 3 years relevant post-qualification experience, including at least one as an audit manager or equivalent.
* Willingness to work on challenging projects.
* Experience with IFRS & UK GAAP.
* Project and team management skills.
* High technical knowledge.
* Excellent communication skills.
Ideally, you’ll also have
