The Opportunity
A high-growth digital performance agency is looking for an experienced Paid Media Director to lead and scale its paid media function. This is a senior role for someone who combines strategic leadership with strong hands-on experience and a clear vision for how paid media should drive real commercial impact.
You’ll take ownership of paid media across Paid Search and Paid Social, shaping strategy, guiding teams, and working closely with clients to deliver measurable growth. The role offers real influence over direction, ways of working, and how performance excellence is delivered across accounts.
The Role
This is a hands-on leadership role, balancing strategy, delivery, and team development. You’ll oversee the paid media offering end-to-end, ensuring accounts are structured intelligently, optimised effectively, and aligned to broader business objectives.
You’ll also play a key role in evolving how automation, testing, and AI-led tools are used to improve performance, efficiency, and insight.
Key Responsibilities
* Own and lead the paid media strategy across Paid Search and Paid Social, ensuring best-in-class performance and innovation.
* Lead, mentor, and develop a paid media team, fostering a culture of accountability, curiosity, and continuous improvement.
* Stay close to delivery—providing strategic direction on account structure, bidding strategies, creative testing, and optimisation frameworks.
* Drive the adoption of automation and AI-powered workflows to enhance performance and scalability.
* Work closely with creative, analytics, and broader digital teams to deliver integrated, full-funnel performance solutions.
* Act as a senior client partner—building trusted relationships, translating performance data into clear commercial insight, and driving long-term growth.
* Keep ahead of platform developments, industry changes, and emerging opportunities within paid media.
