We require a nursing auxiliary with a genuine interest in caring for acutely unwell and elderly patients to join our team. The Supported Discharge Unit is a busy ward covering both Ward 6 and Ward 9. SDU work closely with Physio, Occupational Health and our Discharge HUB colleagues to achieve a safe and timely discharge home. You should be able to work using your own initiative and have an active interest in developing extending clinical skills i.e Venepuncture, observations and bladder scanning. Experience in medicine for the elderly is desirable. Good communication skills are essential. Hours will be worked to suit the needs of the service; this will include rotation to night duty.
