Dental Healthcare Assistant
We are seeking a skilled and experienced dental healthcare assistant to join our team in a fast-paced private and NHS practice.
Key Responsibilities & Duties
* Preparing examination rooms, sterilising instruments and ensuring necessary equipment is readily available for dentists
* Providing assistance during procedures by handing over instruments and anticipating the dentist's needs
* Assisting with taking X-rays for patients and processing them efficiently
* Processing and packing lab work for the dentist in a timely manner
* Greeting patients as they arrive and scheduling appointments effectively
* Maintaining accurate and up-to-date dental records
* Performing general administrative tasks and other duties to maintain optimal surgery standards
* Participating in training and development initiatives for intraoral scanning and 3D digital workflows
Requirements
* Registration with the GDC
* Experience assisting dentists with a comprehensive range of private and NHS work
* Proficiency in IT systems
* Up-to-date knowledge of core CPDs
* Hepatitis B immunity
* Excellent communication skills
* Strong work ethic
* Organisational skills
* Excellent time management
Desirable but not Essential
* Familiarity with Dentally computer system
