I’m partnering with a hugely well-known global tech / electronics business on their next HR Advisor role. This is a rolling, long-term contract with no end date. Salary £47,661 – £51,821 (inclusive of benefits) based on experience. Please note this role will require 3 days per week in their office in Chertsey.
Your key responsibilities:
This role sits in the HR Business Partnering team, reporting to a Senior HRBP who has overall responsibility for the central advisory function. Together, the HR Business Partnering and Advisory Team look after circa 1600 employees. You will work alongside 2 other HR Advisors and a HR Coordinator. You will do:
* Facilitate and manage the employee lifecycle processes in partnership with People Team Centres of Excellence, supporting respective Business Partners and People Managers.
* Manage Employee Relations cases including absence management, performance management, disciplinaries, grievances & investigations – working closely with line managers and BP/ER Manager as a point of escalation.
* Interpret people policies and guide business areas – making recommendations to evolve where necessary to accommodate change in employment legislation and landscape.
* Drive pre-approval processes to expedite pace. For example, Recruitment front-end activity working directly with the Hiring Managers and Recruitment Partners.
* Support the HRBP’s with business change programmes such as re-organisations and consultations, running consultation processes where appropriate. Work with the wider People Team to ensure all back-end activities completed and systems up to date.
* Drafting settlement agreements, response letters, raising approvals for settlement agreement costs, liaising with legal advisors and calculating redundancy calculations, supporting the HRBP’s as required.
* Supporting the HRBP’s on their People Plans as required.
* Work on projects within the wider People Team as required, working closely with CoE’s.
You will need:
* Proven experience as an HR Advisor including strong, demonstrable ER experience and knowledge of UK employment law.
* A passion for being a HR Advisor – doing a really good job and understanding the value that this role brings to the team.
* Experience working in very fast-paced environments – flexibility to adapt to changing priorities.
* Like working with people – confident in dealing with people face to face.
* A great team advocate and happy to be involved in a wide variety of projects.
* Brilliant customer service and understanding of who the customer is.
* Real pace and energy in your work, a passion for getting it done well and on time.
* A real love of systems and processes with an ability to challenge ways of working and make recommendations for what can be done better.
