Pentland Primary School – Attendance, Safeguarding and Welfare Officer – Maternity Leave Cover to commence November 2025.
Grade I, Spinal Point 19 - 22 (actual salary £27,601 - £29,011). 37 hours per week, Term Time only plus 5 specified days.
About the Trust
One Excellence Multi Academy Trust is a Multi Academy Trust comprising four schools. The Trust was founded in July 2017 and is a mixed Multi Academy Trust. The vision and rationale behind the wider partnership are based on shared values and aspirations, a strong sense of community identity and values of inclusion and aspiration for all.
The Trust supports and invests in its staff and offers a structured health and wellbeing programme. The programme includes physiotherapy, nurse support service and drop-in clinics, counselling, mindfulness sessions, weight management, stress awareness, GP consultations and private medical operations if required. Professional development opportunities in education, nurturing and leadership are available to help staff reach their full potential.
Responsibilities
* Focus on improving pupil attendance, reducing persistent absence, improving punctuality and reducing unauthorised absence.
* Work with pupils and their families to provide safeguarding and attendance support, including referrals to external agencies where appropriate.
* Support children whose education is at risk and help families to improve access to learning, with emphasis on vulnerable groups needing additional support.
Candidate Profile
* Excellent communications skills, organised and able to remain calm in a challenging or busy environment.
* Ability to carry out home visits; a UK driving licence and a car are essential.
