Description Job Description Are you a confident and proactive team leader who can help us develop and deliver innovative policy approaches to supporting our partners in making our communities safer? The Minister for Victims and Community Safety has identified tackling antisocial behaviour as a key challenge and priority. You will play a key role in a high-profile and dynamic policy area. You will have the opportunity to combine support to develop policy and strategy with data analysis and ministerial and stakeholder engagement. You will manage challenging timeframes, taking responsibility for providing advice and briefing to senior officials and ministers, updating on progress and providing secretariat for senior stakeholder groups. This post sits within the Community Safety Policy and Prevention Unit and within the Community Safety Team. You will support a Team leader and line manage 2 Policy Officers in the team. Responsibilities Leading on briefing and advice for senior officials and/or Ministers. Direct correspondence (e.g. Ministerial, official, PQs, FoIs). Contributing to drafting and preparation of official documents including guidance and publications. Support on communications activity including media, speeches or visits. Undertaking participation and engagement with partners, stakeholders and the public. Engaging and collaborating with other areas within government to progress policy outcomes Undertaking policy design, development and delivery including strategy, appraisal, impact assessment, monitoring, evaluation etc when necessary. Engaging with Intergovernmental relations (within the UK) where required. Contributing to Governance and risk management. Leading on Financial management of policy activity including grants and other funding or budget management. Contributing to Project and/or Programme management to deliver policy objectives.
