Overview
Lancashire Cricket Club is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Sustainability & Procurement professional to oversee and implement the club's sustainability strategy, ensuring alignment with ECB and LCC goals. Responsibilities
* Oversee and implement the club's sustainability strategy, ensuring alignment with ECB and LCC goals.
* Develop and maintain environmental and sustainability policies, procedures, and impact assessments.
* Ensure compliance with environmental legislation and stay updated on relevant regulatory changes.
* Create and deliver waste reduction, recycling, and energy efficiency initiatives to minimize environmental impact.
* Track, analyze, and report sustainability metrics such as energy, water, waste, and carbon footprint.
* Manage sustainability budgets, ensuring projects are cost-effective and deliver measurable benefits.
* Collaborate with suppliers, contractors, and partners to promote sustainability within the supply chain.
* Lead or support Environmental and Sustainability Committee meetings and staff training programs.
* Oversee procurement processes, including tendering, contract management, and performance reporting to ensure best value.
* Identify opportunities to improve procurement efficiency and integrate sustainability objectives across all operations.
Qualifications
* Experience in a Sustainability & Procurement role
* Can demonstrate knowledge of Environmental and Sustainable Management
* Ability to work under pressure and according to deadlines
* Ability to interact with a wide range of people in a confident and professional manner
* Strong knowledge and experience using programs such as Excel, Office 365, BMS, CAFM. Purchase ordering software experience would be an advantage
* Ability to work manage own workload but also work as part of a wider team
* Strong organisational and multitasking abilities
* Knowledge of health and safety
* Experience of compiling and presenting presentations to groups and key stakeholders
* Knowledge of the latest Procurement Regulations
