As our Asset Policy and Strategy Manager, you will set the priorities and approach to ensure our infrastructure assets are well-maintained, efficient, and ready for the future.
You will spearhead the development and implementation of our long-term asset management strategy and oversee the evolution of our asset management system.
You will lead a talented team, ensuring our policies and strategies are robust, fit for purpose, and effectively implemented across our business. This is an exciting opportunity to drive innovation and ensure the resilience of our critical infrastructure.
Main Responsibilities
* Lead and develop a small team Oversee the creation and maintenance of our Asset Management Policy, Asset Management Strategy, and all associated supporting strategies.
* Champion the development of a new, comprehensive Asset Management System, including its governance model, resource strategy, and capability assessment.
* Lead the development of Regional Strategies to address investment needs across our West, Sussex, and Kent regions.
* Ensure the effective development of our operational Maintenance Strategy.
* Manage the Asset Management maturity assessment and implement subsequent improvement initiatives.
* Drive the development of our Innovation Strategy and manage collaborations on innovation projects.
* Oversee the production of the Climate Change Adaptation report for Defra and track related actions.
* Act as the custodian of technical standards for use in projects.
* Collaborate with others to identify key asset issues and opportunities, instigating feasibility studies to develop long-term solutions.
* Promote and communicate our asset management policies and strategies to both internal and external stakeholders.
* Stay informed about relevant regulatory, legal, and industry changes, and integrate these into our strategic framework.
You'll Need
* Proven management experience within a physical asset intensive industry.
* A strong understanding of strategy and policy development.
* Demonstrable experience in a senior asset management position, with a track record of working effectively with key stakeholders in strategy and policy development and implementation.
* Excellent communication skills and proven experience presenting information to Executive and senior management levels, both internally and externally (including regulatory bodies).
* An Engineering or scientific/technical degree or equivalent experience.
It Will Be a Bonus If You Have:
* An IAM certificate or diploma in Asset Management.
* Management experience within the water industry.

Compensation package:
£55,000 - £70,000 depending on experience #J-18808-Ljbffr
