Our client has a permanent vacancy for a Commercial Property Solicitor, specializing in Commercial Conveyancing, Sale & Purchase, Commercial Contracts, Leases, Acquisitions, and Disposal.
You will be a Commercial Conveyancing Solicitor/Legal Executive with experience managing your own caseload. This is an exciting opportunity for a Commercial Property Solicitor seeking personal and career development within a modern and dynamic firm.
The Role & Responsibilities:
General:
* Prioritize building contacts with clients, demonstrating courtesy and responsiveness.
* Anticipate problems and take appropriate actions.
* Represent the firm’s trading statement positively to staff and clients, conveying a united front.
* Maintain high standards of service quality for clients.
Specific:
* Manage a varied Commercial Property caseload, including Sale & Purchase, drafting Commercial Contracts & Leases, Business leases, Property Acquisitions, and Disposals.
* Provide accurate, up-to-date legal advice considering clients' commercial pressures.
* Ensure clients receive value for money, while working towards fair rewards for your efforts that enhance the firm's profitability.
* Meet chargeable hours and billing targets, and contribute to the firm’s marketing efforts to generate new business.
* Handle incoming calls and messages promptly, following good practice procedures.
* Maintain an efficient diary management system with support from your secretary.
* Develop your secretary’s potential and seek ways to develop your work while maintaining control.
* Follow the firm’s procedures regarding file management, supervision, and audit.
* Manage correspondence efficiently and maintain regular contact with clients on current cases.
* Ensure your support staff have the necessary equipment and working conditions.
* Take personal responsibility for your professional development within the firm’s Investors in People Policy.
* Participate in and contribute to the flow of information within the firm.
Required Skills & Experience:
* Experience in private practice, not in-house commercial roles.
* Experience relevant to the specific field of work.
* A legal background; formal legal qualification not necessarily required.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Attention to detail and thoroughness.
* Self-motivated and proactive.
* Knowledge and experience of IT skills, especially Case Management systems.
