The Role
As part of the Maintenance team, you will be responsible for maintaining, servicing, fault finding, and repairing plant equipment. You should be a ‘time served’ tradesman with experience working in a chemical manufacturing environment, ideally within top tier COMAH facilities. Familiarity with permit to work systems, isolation procedures, and safety management is essential. The role requires a team-oriented, flexible approach with a strong focus on problem-solving.
Key Duties
* Perform mechanical work including installation, maintenance, and repair of production equipment.
* Work from engineering drawings and equipment specifications.
* Follow instructions from the Maintenance Supervisor to execute daily maintenance plans.
* Install and maintain mechanical equipment in compliance with regulatory standards.
* Perform basic troubleshooting of mechanical failures.
* Adhere to Tronox values and safety requirements.
About You
Ideally, you will possess:
* Externally accredited qualifications at Engineering Craft/Technician level, NVQ3, Modern Apprenticeship, C&G Apprenticeship, or ONC Engineering.
* Relevant training and certifications such as Harness training, Tractor & Trailer qualification, Confined Space training, MEWP license, FLT license, etc.
* Experience with slinging and rigging in heavy engineering or chemical manufacturing environments.
* Familiarity with permit to work systems, isolation procedures, and safety management systems.
* Strong communication, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently.
