School Mental Health Assistant – Education and Training – Bletchley
We are seeking a School Mental Health assistant to work within a SEND School in Bletchley. The role is available from September, with support staff expected to start within 12 months to ensure consistency for children’s progression. The position will start either as early as possible or in April, depending on candidate availability.
Responsibilities:
* Provide emotional support to students with Social, Emotional, Mental Health (SEMH), Autism and behavioural difficulties.
* Assist teachers and support staff in implementing individualized learning plans.
* Collect and record observations to inform intervention strategies.
* Collaborate with the school’s support team to promote a positive learning environment.
Qualifications:
* Degree or near completion in Psychology, Criminology, Occupational Therapy, or related fields.
* Experience or training in working with children with special needs.
* Strong motivation and interpersonal skills.
Location: Bletchley, Hemel Hempstead area. The school prefers committed individuals who can work for at least 12 months to maintain consistency for students.
