About the Role:
New Directions Education is working closely with a welcoming primary school in the Chester area to recruit a Key Stage 2 Teacher for a range of ad hoc bookings.

This is a great opportunity for either an experienced or newly qualified teacher who thrives on variety and enjoys delivering engaging, creative lessons across the KS2 curriculum. The school has a warm and supportive team who foster a positive and inclusive learning environment for all pupils.

We’re Looking For:
– Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
– Experience teaching across Key Stage 2
– Confidence in managing different classroom settings
– A flexible, positive and proactive approach to teaching

Job Specification

Your role as a Key Stage 2 (KS2) Primary Teacher in the age group of your speciality will be varied and at times challenging. But we doubt you’ll find a more satisfying career where your main objectives will be to develop the children and prepare them for the next stage.

As a Primary School Key Stage 2 Teacher you’ll be expected to:

1. Teach all areas of the school curriculum
2. Organise the classroom and learning resources to create a positive teaching environment
3. Plan, prepare and teach lessons that cater for all student ability ranges
4. Motivate pupils with enthusiastic, imaginative presentation
5. Maintain discipline
6. Meet requirements for the assessment and recording of pupils’ development
7. Coordinate activities and resources within a specific area of the curriculum, supporting colleagues in the delivery of this specialist area
8. Stay up to date with changes and developments in the structure of the curriculum
9. Liaise with colleagues and working flexibly, particularly within smaller schools.
