About the Role
We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Upholsterer to join our busy Returns Department. In this role, you will assess, repair, and refurbish returned upholstered furniture to ensure it meets our high-quality standards before resale or redistribution. You will play a key part in extending the life of our products and ensuring customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
Inspect returned upholstered furniture for damage, defects, or wear.
Carry out upholstery repairs including re-covering, sewing, patching, cushion refilling, and frame adjustments.
Replace fabrics, foams, webbing, and other upholstery materials as required.
Work with the Returns and Quality Control teams to determine repair viability.
Maintain accurate records of repairs and timeframes.
Ensure all repaired products meet company quality and safety standards.
Keep the workshop and returns area tidy, organised, and compliant with health & safety regulations.
What We're Looking For
Proven experience as an upholsterer (domestic or commercial furniture).
Strong knowledge of upholstery techniques, fabrics, and tools.
Ability to assess damage and determine the best repair solutions.
Good hand–eye coordination and attention to detail.
Ability to work with large and heavy furniture items (manual handling required).
Strong problem-solving skills and a "right first time" approach.

Pay: £15.00-£18.00 per hour
